2011 U.S. National Championship statistics

    At the 2011 U.S. National Championships sons and daughters of A Temptation took home three reserve national championships and six Top Ten awards. Leading winner at the show was Exxpectations (x EA Candy Girl). U.S. National Champion Country Pleasure Driving at the Nationals in 2010, Exxpectations was the 2011 Scottsdale Reserve Champion Country Pleasure Driving last February and Reserve National Champion Pleasure Driving at the 2011 U.S. Nationals in October. Exxpectations also took home a 2011 National Top Ten award in Pleasure Driving AAO.  Exxpectations younger full sibling Enrico (x EA Candy Girl) was Top Ten in the Country English Pleasure Futurity.  Another smart-moving A Temptation daughter was Tempani SMP (x PS Alympia), who was named the 2011 U.S. Reserve National Champion Country English Pleasure Futurity winner. Finally, Rejoice Rejoice (x Rumina Afire) was 2011 U.S. Reserve National Champion English Pleasure Futurity horse.

   HS Liberty (x Rilenora) was the only A Temptation Half-Arabian offspring in competition at this year’s U.S. National Championships. Half-Dutch and a brilliant mover, HS Liberty was Top Ten in the highly competitive HA Park AAO Championship. HS Liberty currently has six national Top Ten awards to his credit under saddle and in harness.   

 A Temptation's first  major victory was being named the unanimous 2000 Ohio Buckeye English Pleasure, Junior Horse Champion. Silvery-white and gifted, A Temptation was then chosen the unanimous 2000 U.S. National English Pleasure Champion, Junior Horse. He went on to become the 2001 U.S. Reserve National English Pleasure Champion – all three wins with trainer Tim Shea in the irons. In 2002 A Temptation was awarded the title U.S. National Champion English Pleasure Horse with Brian Murch. This year at the U.S. Nationals A Temptation was awarded Reserve National Champion in Pleasure Driving giving him a total of four National titles.

  A Temptation, a son of premiere mare, A Love Song, to no one’s surprise is fulfilling his expectations as a sire. His first foals, born in 2001, are long of leg, refined, pretty, have good motion, and are receptive to taking direction. Stay tuned! A Temptation has inherited not only his sire and dam’s talent and work ethic, but also Tempter’s ability to sire foals with tremendous strength and drive off their back ends. The first time trainer Brian Murch saw  A Temptation was when he judged him at the 2000 Ohio Buckeye Sweepstakes.
