A Temptation

The crossing of  Strawberry Banks Farm home bred stallion Tempter (Cognac x Tonki) to A Love Song (*Bask x *Elkana),  produced a star, the stallion A Temptation who is a seven time National Champion and Reserve Champion. 

Those who saw four-time National Champion A Temptation show still talk about his presence - that soft step, his big, intelligent eye, and the way his ethereal look transformed his high-going trot. He is the quintessential example of Strawberry Banks’ breeding program. A Temptation’s striking beauty and extreme athletic ability personify the combination of Arabian traits implicit in the farm’s bloodlines.

In the year 2000 as a 5 year-old he competed in the U.S. National English Pleasure Junior Horse class in Louisville, KY. A Temptation blasted into the ring firing on all cylinders. Upright, with his head tucked back, he lifted squarely off all four corners with precise rhythm that was dazzling.  All five judges named him U.S. National Champion English Pleasure Jr.  Horse. Then in 2002  he became the U.S. National Champion English Pleasure horse, ridden by Brian Murch who had won riding Hey Hallelujah the year before. 

2005 was a very special year when he won two National titles, unanimous U.S. National Champion Pleasure Driving Open with Brian Murch.  And being the perfect gentleman that he is, he gave another outstanding performance sending Barbara Chur around the ring with a red rose blanket to win her first U.S. National Championship in Pleasure Driving AOTD. 

In his last appearance in the ring he gave a breath taking performance in a class of 20 contenders to earn the 2006 U.S. National Reserve Champion Park Horse.
