Our Story

Built from a love and passion of Arabian horses, Strawberry Banks Farm has become a place filled with unforgettable horses, people, and memories.

The SBF History

Strawberry Banks Farm is a family-run Arabian horse breeding and performance program built on decades of passion for the breed. Founded in 1976 by Barbara and Neil Chur, the farm began with a simple but enduring goal: to raise Arabian horses of quality, character, and athletic ability, while staying true to the traditions and values that define the breed.

From the beginning, the program focused on thoughtful breeding decisions and proven bloodlines, emphasizing correct conformation, sound minds, and versatility. Over the years, Strawberry Banks developed a strong foundation rooted in respected Polish and performance bloodlines, producing horses known not only for their beauty but also for their willingness and presence in the show ring.

“Horses are a love,
but Arabian horses
are a passion.”

— Barbara Chur

As the farm grew, so did its reputation. Strawberry Banks horses have earned success across multiple disciplines, reflecting a program that values patience, horsemanship, and long-term development. Each generation of horses represents careful planning and a deep respect for the Arabian horse as both an athlete and a partner.

Today, Strawberry Banks Farm remains family-driven and deeply hands-on, carrying forward the legacy established more than four decades ago. While the program continues to evolve, its core philosophy remains unchanged: to breed and develop Arabian horses with purpose, integrity, and lasting quality.
